Life and Health producers and Property and Casualty producers must complete 24 CE hours, including 3 hours of ethics, are required every 2-year license term.
Licensees who write flood insurance must complete a one-time 3-hour training class on flood insurance and the National Flood Insurance Program.
All Public Adjusters must fulfill 15 CE hours every 2 year license term.
If a licensee has not taken a NAIC LTC training course in another state, the nonresident producer selling LTC in New Jersey must comply with the New Jersey LTC training requirements:
Before selling, soliciting, or negotiating annuity products in New Jersey, producers must complete a one-time annuity training course approved for at least 4 hours.
Elective hours are the remaining balance of your CE requirement aside from the 4-hour course. Most licensees can satisfy this requirement by completing any approved continuing education courses we have approved for your license type. However, public adjusters will be required to satisfy ALL continuing education requirements by completing courses that are approved in the line of public adjusting. Title insurance agents are not included in the 4-hour course requirement and therefore must complete courses that are approved in the line of title insurance.
Non-resident public adjusters who satisfy the public adjuster requirement in their resident state will be deemed compliant for the New Jersey public adjuster requirement.
Nonresident licensees can renew their licenses online here.
To check your renewal date, click here and look up your continuing education transcript.
