Producers of Life and Health insurance and Fire and Casualty insurance must complete 30 CE hours, including 3 hours of ethics, are required every 3 year license term (see license term below).
Nevada fire and casualty producers who also sell federal flood insurance policies must complete a one-time, 3-hour course approved for National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) training.
A roster fee of $1.25 per credit hour ordered is required to process course completion hours in Nevada and will be added to the order total upon checkout.
Ongoing 4-hour LTC Partnership training requirement: After completing the initial 8-hour LTCP requirement, producers must complete a 4-hour follow-up training course every 24 months after completion of the initial training.
The license term is every 3 years based on the license issuance date. The license renewal date is the first day of the month following the license issuance date.

Course presentation:
Producers can take courses through self-study, including Internet, computer-based, and paper courses.
Study requirements:
Students must read the course material prior to taking a closed-book, proctored final exam.

Exam proctor requirements:
Exams are to be monitored by a disinterested third party. Proctors must not serve for examinations of family members, relatives, or dependents; employers or supervisors; employees or subordinates; partners, joint ventures, or co-owners; or anyone in whom the proctor or instructor has an economic or other interest in assuring the successful outcome of the examination.
Exam rules:
Self-study final exams are closed book. Producers may not refer to the course material while the exam is in progress. The final exam must be passed with a score of 70 percent or higher to receive credit. If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.CE
Carryover Allowance
No CE may be carried forward to the next license renewal cycle for credit.
A course may not be repeated within a 3-year license term.
AOIS provides online, printable certificates of completion in Nevada. Certificates of completion will be available to print online immediately after a final exam is passed. The licensee must keep a copy of each certificate of completion in his or her file for 4 years.
Instant Reporting – Insurance CE credits are immediatly reported to Sircon upon course completion.
Electronic applications and renewals are reviewed and processed on a priority basis. Most electronic submissions are processed within 5 business days. The review and processing time for paper submissions depends on current workload. Please allow a four week review time for application and renewal submissions.

Nonresident licensees
Individuals holding only a limited license
Individuals who have had 20 years or more of continuous experience, as a primary source of income, in the field of insurance selling, marketing, underwriting, adjusting, practicing law, managing, regulating, or engaging in any combination of these activities
Individuals who have earned CLU, CPCU, CIC, ChFC, or CFP designations
